“...well where do I start with this place! Cosy, stylish, informal, eating, drinking & being. In the town of Chipping Campden. It is just FAB in every way “My Perfect Place” – have been going there for quite some time and have felt like keeping it a secret for purely selfish reasons, I now feel ready to reveal the excellence of this establishment. Walking in for the first time you just feel at home right away, low ceilings, sheepskins on chairs, fab lighting, cosy fireplace (always lit at the right times of year or on the cold days in summer, that I dread we are having to get used to) and great furniture. Front of house headed by the famous handsome “Marco” (bastard!) and a team of great people who just love what they do, and it really shows. You can pop in for breakfast or lunch or dinner & ndash; simple Italian inspired dishes done with love, olive oil and a certain “Je ne sais quoi” (don’t know what that is in Italian exactly) but seems to be hard to find anywhere these days incuding the Cotswolds. Everybody is made very welcome even if you just want to stop for great coffee or just sit on the cosy secluded terrace in the sunshine having just a glass of wine or Champagne, it is perfect! (I reccomend the “Lugano” Italian white wine) order a bottle as two glasses won’t be enough! Home made Breads & cakes to die for. Though it is open for everyone to visit, on leaving You feel like a “Club Member” and just want to go back.”

“…If thou art in Stratford upon Avon (the home of Shakespeare) this is the best places to eat by far. The atmosphere is classic brasserie/wine bar, dishes are beautifully cooked and served. Ideal for lunch or dinner or even breakfast! …or just pop in for coffee at the highly polished brass bar. The first choice of all visiting thespians.”
